They learned to bake amazing French foods. This special event happened at <strong>Bistro 112<\/strong> in Shepherdstown.<\/p>\n<p>Nine young girls, aged <strong>9 to 10<\/strong>, whisked their way to success. They spent a fun <strong>2.5 hours<\/strong> at the restaurant. It was a Saturday morning full of tasty lessons.<\/p>\n<p>What did they learn? They baked real French baguettes. They also made fancy chocolate souffl\u00e9s. These are not easy things to make!<\/p>\n<h2>Girl Scouts Master Baking Skills<\/h2>\n<p>The girls worked hard to earn their <strong>Baking badge<\/strong>. They got to mix, knead, and measure. It was a hands-on experience for everyone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shannon Sefton<\/strong> is the troop leader. She called it an &#8220;amazing experience.&#8221; The girls learned important kitchen safety tips. They made everything from scratch.<\/p>\n<p>Making things from scratch means starting with basic ingredients. You do not use pre-made mixes. Damian said, &#8220;We love hosting community events.&#8221; He believes teaching kids these skills is very important. He added that the girls were &#8220;great students.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant has a beautiful kitchen. It was the perfect place to learn. The smells of fresh bread filled the air.
